Lithology: Fine grained Sandstone?

0800 DOS w/ Drill Rig. Leave to pick up trucks and drill equipment
1230 Finish loading equipment. Mob to York site
1330 Arrive at York site. Begin unloadinig and setting up for drilling
1645 Commence drilling. 9 5/8" casing with rotary bit and 6" hammer bit
1800 Depth: 32' DOS

Plans 11/18/2006:
Continue drilling.

Note* hard to tell lithology, but outcrop near site is Andesitic.

1030 Depth 52'
1130 Depth 64'. Switching to 7 3/4" hammer bit, adding on 3 6 1/2" collars and 5 stabilizers
1320 Depth 102'. Water @ 83'. Change in Lithology (Tanish sandstone to Grey clay w/ basalt fragments)
1400 Depth 112'. Inclination 89.6 deg
1415 Depth 125'. Hit Bedrock (Andesite).
1500 Depth 172'
1615 Depth 232'
1645 Depth 252'. Inclination 89.4 deg
1745 Depth 300'. Brown clay layer. Rate of penetration much higher. (Possibly a sedimentary clay deposit inbetween Andesite flows)
1810 Depth 333'. Brown clay layer
1830 Depth 348'. Back into Andesite (Blue/Green)
1900 Depth 373'. Inclination 89.7 deg
1915 DOS

Plans 11/19/2006:
Continue drilling until we determine safe depth at which to set casing. Min of 400' casing most likely.

Lithology: Basaltic Andesite (Jade Green)

0900 Depth 393'
1000 Depth 433'. Inclination 89.6 deg. Drill to 440'
1215 Start installing 6" casing to 440'

Difficulty pulling up symmetrix, but finally came out. Grout in casing.

Plan 11/20/2006:
Drill through shoe. Continue drilling.
